Tips on How to Repair Hardwood Floor Scratches

Posted by biohubieran on 7 декабря 2010

Hardwood floor scratches are inevitable. At some point, scratches will happen. If you have hardwood flooring, it’s important that you learn how to do simple scratch repairs yourself. However, before you start fixing any scratches, you’ll need to learn how to differentiate between scratches and gouges on your hardwood floor.

A scratch is typically a visible, but not deep, marking on your hardwood floor’s surface. Hardwood floor scratches can be caused by dragging furniture across the floor or by glass that has fallen and cut the surface of the floor. A gouge, however, is much deeper than a scratch. Think of a gouge as a “flesh wound” a hardwood floor could sustain.

Dealing with a scratch is much different than dealing with a. For instance, it’s useless to apply hardwood floor scratch remover on gouges.

You’ll need to be sure that you really are dealing with a scratch instead of a gouge before you can initiate any kind of scratch repair work. Between scratches and gouges, scratches on hardwood floors are much more common. It’s near impossible to keep hardwood floors from getting scratches.

Moving pieces of furniture across or dropping sharp objects like glass are not the only things that can cause scratches. You may be causing scratches on your hardwood floor when you sweep it with a broom with not-so-soft bristles or you wipe off spills using a hard piece of cloth.

Again, scratches are nearly impossible to avoid, so the best thing you can do is learn how to deal with the scratches, like learning how to do simple scratch repairs. It’s pretty simple; you don’t have to hire a professional to do it for you.

Follow these steps:

1. Using a fine steel wool or sandpaper, rough up the scratched area.

2. Rub the whole length of the scratch. Cover both margins.

3. Make sure to rub in the direction of the wood grain, or rub in a circular motion to avoid damaging the wood and floor finish too much.

3. Dampen a soft cloth with mineral spirits. Use the soft cloth to wipe off any wood and dust particles on the scratched area of the floor.

4. Let the solution dry up on the floor. Depending on how big the scratch is, the scratch removal solution and how much of it you use, drying time may take from several minutes up to a few hours.

5. Take a fine paintbrush, dip it in the finish originally used on the floor and brush it across the scratched area. Wipe with a soft cloth.

6. Be careful and gentle when you brush in the finish onto the scratch. Too much or too little and the area will look much different from the rest of the hardwood floor. Brush in just enough finish so that it looks almost the same as the rest.

7. Give the new finish some time to dry. This may take between 30 minutes to a few hours.

If you followed the directions carefully, the scratch on your hardwood floor should be gone.

Tips for Offering Move-In / Move-Out Cleaning Services

Posted by biohubieran on 5 декабря 2010

People and businesses are moving from homes, apartments, and offices on a daily basis. As people and businesses move, they either need their old location cleaned or want to make sure their new location is clean before moving in. Your cleaning company can fill this niche by providing what is known as move-in/move-out cleaning. It can be an added service that your cleaning business provides, a way to give employees new skills, and a great way for your company to make more profit!

Move in/out cleaning can be cleaning a building after an old tenant moves out or before a new tenant moves in. The type of clients looking for move in/out cleaning includes residential and commercial property owners and managers. Commercial move in/out cleaning can vary from small, quick jobs of just a few thousand square feet to large office buildings of 15,000 square feet and up.

A good place to start when looking for move in/out cleaning accounts is to contact property management companies. If you happen to be located in a college town there will probably be no shortage of work. If you have been cleaning commercial buildings, your clients will no doubt ask you to provide move in/out cleaning services when they move into a new office or building.

When first starting out with move in/out cleaning it may be necessary to meet with the property manager on-site to give an estimate on the time it will take to clean the apartment, office, or building. Once you establish a relationship with the property manager you may be able to skip doing an estimate and just bill for your time. They will most likely need floor cleaning services too (carpet, tile, wood). These are specialized cleaning services, which you will charge separately for. Offering these specialized services will also add more profitability to your cleaning company since you will charge more for these services.

The prices charged will vary depending on the type of facility you are cleaning, but you should be able to bill $20 - $25 for your services. Apartment buildings tend to be less profitable than commercial buildings because many apartment managers have a budget to adhere to, so they like their cleaning contractors to bill a flat fee because it’s easier to stick to their budget. Cleaning contractors need to be cautious about bidding this way. Some apartments take much longer to clean than others so you don’t want to lose money because you underestimated your time.

No matter if you are cleaning a residential apartment, home or a commercial building there are several steps you should take to guarantee your success and your customer’s satisfaction with your move in/out cleaning services.

· Use teams of 2 to 4 people for apartment cleaning, depending on the size of the apartment. Larger teams may be needed for commercial locations.

Team members should be specialists in the tasks they are performing. For example, in a two person team, one person will be assigned to dusting, windows, and vacuuming. One person will be assigned to bathrooms, kitchens, hard floor vacuuming, and mopping.

The team leader is responsible for making sure that all equipment and supplies are brought to the job site and gathered when the job is complete. Put all tools and chemicals into a plastic tote.

· Before you begin check with the client to make sure the job site has working utilities. You cannot clean without running water and you need electricity to run a vacuum. If it is the middle of the summer, you should make sure the building’s air-conditioning is working properly. Cleaning chemicals and drying times can be affected by heat and humidity.

· Begin cleaning by removing all trash. Pick up all trash that is too large to vacuum. You will be able to vacuum more efficiently as you will not have to stop and pick up large objects.

· Use a microfiber flat mop for cleaning ceilings, walls, baseboards, and doors.

· Proper vacuuming is an important step in move in/out cleaning. Using a backpack vacuum with the proper attachments can speed up the tasks at hand and make work easier on the cleaning staff. Remember to vacuum from high to low, including light fixtures, window tracks, blinds, and along the baseboards. It is also much easier to vacuum out cabinets and drawers than wiping them.

Some of these items will need to be wiped down after vacuuming; light fixtures, insides of cabinets and drawers, ceiling vents, heat registers, and blinds.

· Windows and patio doors should be washed with an applicator and squeegee. Use scrapers or #0000 steel wool to remove stickers and bugs. Be sure the window is wet when using these tools or you could scratch the glass. Frames and tracks should be vacuumed and then wiped down.

· After picking up trash and vacuuming, start cleaning the stuck-on grime and dirt. Chemicals to have on hand include: bowl cleaner, fume-free oven cleaner, window cleaner, all-purpose cleaner, degreaser, neutral floor cleaner, stainless steel polish, and furniture polish. Save money by using concentrated chemicals rather than RTU (ready-to-use) chemicals.

Spray spots and make sure you give dwell time so the chemicals have time to work. It is important that you have enough air movement so employees do not breathe in fumes. Make sure that your employees have the correct personal protective equipment (gloves, goggles, etc.) when working with chemicals.

· Deep cleaning. If you need to loosen build-up, use the correct cleaning tools - paper towels, terry cloth rags, microfiber cloths, pads, brushes and scrapers. Use caution when using these tools - you don’t want to damage surfaces.

. Use paper towels, terry cloth rags, or microfiber cloths for most cleaning tasks. Use a green microfiber cloth for dusting; blue for windows, glass and polished surfaces; red for cleaning restrooms and yellow for countertops, sinks and walls.

. Use hand brushes for scrubbing showers, sinks, stoves, and refrigerators. Use grout brushes for cleaning up grout on countertops and ceramic tile floors. Toothbrushes can be used for detail cleaning around faucets and around the rims in toilet bowls.

. Use white pads for surfaces such as glass, chrome, stainless steel and plastic. This is because white pads are not as abrasive as green pads.

. Green pads are good for greasy areas including cabinets, toilets and scrubbing shower stalls. Be careful when using green pads however, as they can scratch surfaces.

. Use a 2″ utility scraper for build-up and adhesives in kitchens and bathrooms.

· Save time by spraying the inside of the refrigerator and showers/tubs with a pump-up sprayer rather than using a spray bottle. When cleaning kitchens, be sure to pull out the stove and refrigerator. Clean the walls, sides of appliances, sides of cabinets, floor, and vacuum the coils. Also clean the oven hood and filters.

· Clean floors last. Use the backpack vacuum to give the floors a final vacuuming, and then mop all hard surface flooring.

Offering move in/out services is one way to start your cleaning business. It also provides a way for an established cleaning company to provide added services to their existing clients while putting extra dollars onto the bottom line.

Dash Repair - How to Fix a Cracked Padded Dash

Posted by biohubieran on 3 декабря 2010

Weather change is here and the cracked padded dashes are rolling in. With every weather change I get the phone calls. “My dash is cracked and what can be done to fix it.”

Due to the exposer to old mother nature, these materials become dried out and crack over time leaving you with a crack in your dash. Left unattended this small crack can and will get larger.

There are measures that can be taken to prevent the dash from getting cracked in the first place. Now I know your dash is already cracked and your wanting to know how to fix it, but this will prevent further cracks and keep your car cooler and looking nicer, and well…. for further reference.

One way to prevent this is to use a sunshade. This will not only protect your automotive dash from the sun but also keep your vehicle cooler keeping the plastic pieces cooler and less likely to warp and then crack.

Another way to prevent the materials from drying on your dash is to condition them with a good vinyl conditioner-protectant. Now I know I’ve always said to not put the slimy stuff on your interior pieces and parts … But if your vehicle is exposed to the sun on a constant basis, then I would recommend you use a vinyl conditioner. Now I’m not going to say that any old vinyl conditioner will work, because it won’t. Tire shine is not vinyl conditioner! This is probably one of the biggest mistakes made, and I do a lot of repair because of it. Tire shine contains solvents, which as you know from previous articles, it doesn’t mix well with the water based dyes being used on todays cars. What it does is lifts the dye from the surface, causing it to peel. So no tire shine…What I recommend to my customers is a product made from a leather conditioning producer that I feel from some of the research I’ve done is safe and should work very well, it’s made by Lexol and it’s called Vinylex. Designed by the guys that really know their stuff when it comes to interior conditioning and protecting.

The last and final tip to keeping your automotive interior, including your dash, looking it’s best and lasting longer is window tint. Now in some states you need to be careful with the tinting laws to make sure you don’t get it too dark, plus you need to think of your safety too. I have tint on our family Tahoe and I kinda wish I would have gone a little lighter, at night it’s really hard to see, my Tahoe stays nice and cool, but it’s a pain in the butt at night. I have to roll the window down sometimes just to see. So keep it light and you will be impressed with the results, plus it looks cool.

Now on with the fix for that crack in your dash.

Depending on where the crack is and how big it is will depend on how to fix it and how expensive the repair will be. If the crack is bigger then 2″-3″ and curled up on the edges, the repair will probably not look that great. There is a limit to the size of crack that can be repaired, too big and it probably won’t hold and will look like crap. If the crack is too big, replace the dash pad, don’t try to fix it. Another thing is location, if the crack is up close to the windshield then it’s almost impossible to do a repair without removing the windshield, which can be costly. So with that said you be the judge.

The first thing I do before I start any repair is to mix my color, this insures that at least the color will be right.

Next I inspect the crack in the dash, if the edges are curled up then you will need to trim that off with a razor blade or Xacto knife. The goal here is to get the area as level as you can. Now when doing so cut at a 45 degree angle and don’t bring the ends to a point, what I mean by this is trim all the way around the crack rounding off the ends of the crack, this will insure that the crack will stop and not crack further after your repair.

Of course your next step is prepping the repair area, use your prep solution with a scotch brite pad and clean the area thoroughly. You might need to clean the entire dash depending on where and how large the crack is.

Now it’s time to determine what fix you going to use.

If the crack is smaller then an 1/2″ I usually grab the super glue and do a super glue repair. I do this by spreading the glue in the crack then sanding it smooth with a 240 grit sandpaper, texture with your water based spray grain, then dye.

But there are times when your vinyl repair compound will need to be used, after all this is vinyl. The low cure usually works best because high heat tends to warp the repair area. This is where your patience comes in when doing your repairs. Thin layers of compound work best, curing and dying between coats until the area is level and smooth. You can texture while layering your compound with your grain pads. One little trick I use to help level the repair when using a grain pad is a little rubber squeegee about 3″x5″, it’s what body shops use to squeegee the water off the painted surface when they wet sand. This little thing works great, when you use your hand to imprint your grain into your repair, your hand kinda molds around the area and doesn’t leave a level area but with the rubber squeegee it gives you a little more backing when you go to imprint. Now graining your repair can be tricky, the low cure compound doesn’t grain that well, but if all else fails make sure the repair is level, this is your best hide. If that is achieved then texture with your spray grain.

One last trick up my sleeve is the use of a great product from Urethane Supply Co. This is a two part epoxy like substance that is specifically designed for padded dashes and the name says it all, Padded Dash Filler.

This stuff is the bomb, when it comes to dash repair. Mixes like Bondo and is even applied like bondo, but its flexible. It’s just what the doctor ordered when it comes to dash repair. If the crack is larger then 1″ this is the stuff to use.

Now this product will require you to trim the area and then sand around the area about 1″ to 2″ out with a heavier grit sandpaper like a 180 grit, this gives it something to bite too. Trim down into the foam a little to, so that you make like a little groove for the compound to lay in.

Mix your compound on a small piece of tile, I like using small tile pieces, they clean up easily and are easier to hold when mixing and applying. Now when you get the product they send you the red catalyst, try the blue, it seems to set up a little quicker. The blue you can get at any automotive parts shop. But the red works just as good just takes it a little longer, time is money in my business.

Apply your compound liberally over the repair area, don’t worry about getting your first coat really smooth, all you need is to get it covered, you’ll be sanding it smooth later. Let it set up for a while, depending on the weather will depend on how long this stuff takes. You can speed it up a little with a heat gun but don’t melt it just give it a little boost.

Once hardened start sanding, I usually start with a 180 grit to knock off the big chunks then progressively move my way up to a finer grit like 240 and then to 400.

One coat won’t be sufficient, I promise, this is another layer thing. Sanding between coats. Each coat you apply you will need to make smoother. Again what your trying to achieve is a smooth level repair.

After all is smooth and level, grain with a spray grain then dye.

As far as texture goes, I use two types of spray grain. One is a water based spray grain and the other is Sems Texture Coat. In fact the Sems Texture Coat almost matches the some of the Pontiac dashes to a tee. Now the Sems Texture coat is a solvent based, but I haven’t had a problem with it peeling up against the water based dyes on the dash, so kudos to Sems.

One other trick I have found with the the Sems Texture Coat is after sprayed if you let it flash out a little but not dry completely, you can take your grain pad and imprint your grain into the texture coat, pretty cool huh.

Dash repair is an art and a craft, just like all automotive interior repairs. If the steps are followed right and patience is used in your repairs you success will be good.

Hope this helps in your dash repair adventure. One thing to always keep in mind is to keep your repair as level as possible, this is your best hide.

Nokia X3 Blue-Silver Joins the Nokia X3 Range

Posted by biohubieran on 30 ноября 2010

The Nokia X3 has now been released in a new colour variant. The original red on black edition X3 was originally released back in mid December as a SIM Free phone, followed by launches on T-Mobile and Orange in late January. But this sleek sliding music phone has now had a new makeover.

The Nokia X3 Blue is the second colour variant in the series and exchanges the outer casing colours from red and black to a sleek silver with blue accents, the key features remain unchanged as does the overall design of the phone.

This new Nokia X-Series music phone has been initially released as a SIM Free handset, this means that the user can insert their own SIM card whether that be on the pay as you go or contract scheme and retain their existing mobile number as well as any contact that they have saved to their SIM card.

The Blue Nokia X3 is the only current sliding music phone from the new X-range, this new model joins the existing Nokia X6 in the series offering slightly cut down features for a smaller price tag. The Nokia X6 has been available for a couple of months in its blue colour format with the red on black edition being released recently.

The Nokia X6 has also now been made available in a new 16GB edition, this is half the memory capacity of the original 32GB models and also Nokia have left out their ‘Comes with Music’ service found on the previous models which entitled the user to 12 months of music downloads for free.

The new Nokia X6 16GB is also available in a different colour scheme to the other two 32GB models, the first to be released is finished in a matte black finish on Virgin Mobile whilst a planned pink, silver and white edition are yet to make it to market.

Getting back to the Nokia X3, this compact slider offers the same great music playing abilities and a 3.5mm audio jack for using standard headphones, other features include a 3.2 mega pixel camera, dedicated music keys, up to 16GB of memory using MicroSD cards, Nokia Maps for navigation and access to the Ovi Store for downloading new applications and mobile content.

There is no word currently as to when this blue edition of the X3 will be released by any of the network operators but we expect this to follow pretty soon.

Competitors to the Nokia X3 are pretty thin on the ground, dedicated music phones are few and far between but LG have just released a budget phone with built in stereo, bass tuned speakers called the LG GM205 whilst Samsung has their Beat DJ phone which includes unique scratch pads to interact with your music like a DJ.

Sony Ericsson’s Walkman range is probably the closest competitor to Nokia’s X-Range, the Sony Ericsson W995 is still the highest specification Walkman device available whilst the new Sony Ericsson Aino is a new all round multimedia phone with a good music player and large screen for watching videos.

When it comes to the manufacturers own models the Nokia X6 is an obvious contender but slightly more expensive whilst the new Nokia 5230 is a mid range touch screen music phone from the previous XpressMusic range which may well appeal.

The Nokia X3 and Nokia X6 are two of many new music inspired handsets to be released this year, further information can be found on our website - Phones Limited.

Cat Supplies - A Way to Stop the Scratching

Posted by biohubieran on 27 ноября 2010

If there is one complaint that most cat owners have about their beloved feline friends it is their constant habit of scratching things they shouldn’t be scratching. While you can’t always stop them from this habit, after all it is in their nature, there are a few cat supplies you can get to try and save your furniture and other valuable items from becoming a victim of a scratching frenzy.

The right toys to scratch

The first way to keep your kitten from getting in trouble by digging it’s claws into everything in your home is to give it the right cat supplies to scratch. You should purchase scratch pads or posts for your cat, so it has something appropriate to use for a nail workout. One important thing to keep in mind is that you choose a scratching platform that is the right size for your cat. Your cat should be able to stretch to its full capacity when using the scratching item you have purchased. Often a way to take care of this need is to purchase a cat tree piece of furniture that is tall enough for your cat to stretch out and scratch and also has a place for your cat to climb, play and even curl up and sleep. This is a way to take care of two necessary cat supplies in one shot.

Water bottle or gun

Cats need to scratch. That’s just a fact of life. It’s the way they trim their own nails. But what they scratch is something you can have a little control over. While some people scold or even try to spank cats to stop them from scratching items they should not be scratching, a better way is to have a deterrent that your cat doesn’t like, but is not harmful. This is where water bottles and water guns come in. these simple cat supplies can go a long way towards convincing your cat there are better things to claw in the house. Once your cat starts to dig at something it is not supposed to, a quick squirt of water in the face will change its mind.

Soft Claws Instead of Declawing

Another option is to make sure that when your cat decides to claw something that it won’t do any damage. Some people consider declawing a cat to reach this end, but many doctors and humane societies say this is not a humane way to treat your pet. Additionally, if your cat ever goes outside, it will have no defenses against another animal. Instead, consider making your cat’s sharp claws softer. One of the greatest cat supplies in recent memory is called soft claws. These are plastic tips that can be put on your cats nails and turn them into soft plastic, non-scratching, tips. Think of it as press on nails for cats. The trick with these is that they take a little work to get on. You should ideally start when your cat is young, and train them to get used to the process of putting the nails on and keeping them on.

Maintaining New Home Floors

Posted by biohubieran on 26 ноября 2010

A large number of newer homes have been built with various hard flooring in them instead of carpets; buyers love the rich classic look that hardwood, stone tiles, or ceramic tile contributes to a home. However, many new home owners have never experienced these types of floors before and are unsure about how to keep them in good shape. Keeping a hard floor in good shape is not difficult but needs to be taken care of pretty much every day depending on how much grit your family tracks in the house.

The first key to daily cleaning is getting the dirt and grit off your floors; any particles on your floor that are tracked in on people’s shoes or pet’s feet will dull and scratch the finish of your floor. Use a dust mop or a soft broom to sweep up particles every day and vacuum the floors once or twice a week, depending how dirty they get. Make sure that you use mats at each entrance to your home to cut down on the amount of dirt that gets tracked into the house; it is a good idea to have an area for people to take off their shoes at the entrance to the home as well.

Make sure that if you’re using mats inside the entrances of your home or other rugs placed on the floors that you vacuum them well so that dirt doesn’t make its way through them and scratch the floor when people walk on them. Small rugs can easily be moved and vacuumed underneath periodically.

To wash any hard surface floors use either a very well wrung out mop or a dry steam cleaner that heats water up to 260 degrees. A steam cleaner is preferable to cleaning with a mop due to the lesser amount of water that it uses, thereby being less likely to cause any water damage to the floor. Due to the high heat that this system heats water to, it works well at removing dirt and sticky residues from your floor and killing bacteria as well.

For other types of scratches and floor damage on softer flooring or on flooring that has a sealant coating on it, avoid dragging furniture on the floor and avoid wearing your shoes in the house, particularly high heels. All furniture should sit either on a rug or have soft pads installed on the bottoms of the legs.

Maintaining the floors in your new home shouldn’t be a big chore. If you take a few minutes every day to sweep up and a few more each week to vacuum or mop, your floors should keep looking beautiful for years to come.

How To Maintain Your Sink

Posted by biohubieran on 25 ноября 2010

To keep your sinks clean, germ-free and looking new, you need to do regular maintenance on them. The kind of care and maintenance you need to do largely depends on the material your sink has. Here are sinks care tips for common sink materials:

Stainless Steel Sinks

Stainless steel sinks are relatively easy to clean and maintain. However, to prevent scratches, dents and to keep it looking new, you need to do regular maintenance on it. Clean your stainless steel sink with hand dishwashing liquid detergent and water, or a baking soda and water solution. Rinse thoroughly and use a soft cloth or paper towel to polish the surface. Do not use scouring powders or steel wool pads as they will surely scratch your sink. Use rubber or plastic mats to avoid pans and tableware from marking and scratching the surface. You can also add a small amount of vinegar or ammonia to achieve a more polished look.

Porcelain Enamel Sinks

Never leave acid-based spills or acidic food to sit on the surface of the sink for a long time. Most porcelain iron sinks are not acid resistant and tends to discolor and even etch when exposed to harsh materials like acids for a long time. It may be best to use plastic or perforated mats to protect porcelain sinks from any damage.

Stone Sinks

Natural stones are porous so that certain substances may tend to stain your stone sink. Stone sinks also tend to absorb moisture if not properly protected. Because of this, it is best to wipe spills immediately and to avoid the build-up of by-products such as salt, lime, calcium or detergents. Stone sinks must be regularly cleaned using a sponge or a soft cloth with a non-abrasive neutral detergent and warm water, and rinsed thoroughly. (Note: Never use acidic or base cleaners or abrasive cleaning pads!)

Copper Sinks

Copper sinks are unique since they are the only kind that develops a patina due to copper’s normal reaction with the environment. This patina is unique for every sink: they can never to duplicated, nor can they be rushed. Copper sinks come in two general types: the natural brown finish and the clear glossy shine finish.

Never use hard water and acid based cleaners if you have a natural brown or glossy shine copper sink as they tend to develop spotting. In case your area has hard water, always wipe your sink every after use with a soft cloth so that spots would not develop. If your sink comes in contact with chemicals or acidic debris, a bright spot will likely remain which can be cleaned with soap and water, but will only be completely removed in time when the sink completely recovers its patina.

Wood Sinks

Wood sinks are usually coated with natural varnish which creates the barrier which separates the wood and the water. When cleaning your wood sink, always use a mild, anti-bacterial liquid soap and a sponge to clean your sink. Never use harsh chemicals, abrasives, scouring sponges or bleach to wipe the surface. It is also best to avoid running extremely hot liquids into the sink surface.

Keeping Your Pet Cat Happy

Posted by biohubieran on 24 ноября 2010

Cats enrich our lives. Whether you’re a parent, married, single or otherwise, cats are always there as a means of support. Through emotional times, devastating times and even times of happiness, you can always count on your pet to answer your call. So how do you thank some one that can’t speak a word? Enrich your cat’s life through toys, treats, affection and just plain love.

Cat’s toys are sometimes so much more interesting than our own; pet toys period are more interesting. With all the developments in children’s toys, it’s no wonder that cat toys are following right behind. Sure, it’s fun to watch your cat go crazy over the catnip stuffed mouse, but it’s even more fun to be a part of the action. For starters, you can pick up some of the best toys at major pet stores for less than $5, $10 or be extravagant and spoil your cat with toys at the $25 mark. Toys like the Kong Hubba Wubba Cat Toy, Catnip Balls by Petsport USA or the Expandable Cat Tunnel. You might have more fun with them than your pet. The Kong brand makes great toys for all animals, especially cats. Petstages also makes toys for your cat as he progresses through life like the developmental toys you would find for babies.

Care for your pet with scratch pads and give him a home with a kitty tower like you wouldn’t believe. Molly and Friends makes great cat towers that even your dog will drool over. Cat stuff is so much better than dog stuff, too. What would a dog do with a condo anyway? Whisker City also makes some condos that are a little simpler like the Small Helicopter Cat Tree and the Two Story Plush Cat Cave. Here your kitty can hid out and snack away in secret until you come home.

Pet treats have come a long way since your standard milk bone for dogs. Cat treats were less focused on until recently when gourmet treats came on the scene. From Whiskas to Friskies, there are treats to make your cats breath smell better, treats that remedy his hairballs, or even treats to care for his teeth. There are recipes on the internet as well that even teach you how to make gourmet treats for your pal.

It’s not just about toys, treats and towers; it’s about making your best friend know that you’re his best friend. You can spoil your cat, but unless you care for him by taking him to the vet, brushing and loving him, all your shopping will be for naught. Loving your pet will ensure that he is as happy as you are.
